Draft · pre-launch

Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on this site. The text below is a pre-launch draft and will be finalised before public release — PLACEHOLDER, requires lawyer review.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies (e.g. window.localStorage for theme and cart) to deliver a working, personalised service.

2. Categories of cookies we use

During pre-launch we use only strictly necessary cookies (authentication, shopping cart contents, theme preference, language selector). When analytics or marketing tools are introduced, this page will be updated and you will be asked for explicit consent for those categories.

3. Strictly necessary / functional

These cookies are required for core service functions and cannot be disabled. Examples: session cookies issued by better-auth on sign-in; CSRF protection tokens; the cart contents stored in localStorage; the locale and theme stored in cookies for SSR consistency.

4. Analytics

We do not use analytics cookies during pre-launch. When/if we introduce analytics (e.g. for measuring conversion or feature usage), we will request opt-in consent via the cookie banner and update this section with specific vendor names, data categories collected, retention and your withdrawal rights.

5. Marketing / advertising

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not engage in cross-site tracking, retargeting or behavioural advertising. Any future change will require updated consent.

6. Your choices

Because we use only strictly necessary cookies on pre-launch, the in-app cookie banner is informational (acknowledge button). When analytics/marketing categories are added, you will be able to opt in or opt out per category, change preferences at any time, and your choice will persist for 90 days.

7. Third-party services

Certain pages load resources from third-party providers necessary for the service (payment processor checkout pages, KYC verification flow). Those providers may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be announced on the site. The effective date is shown at the bottom of the page after publication.
